Merry Christmas Everyone!

I wont be blogging much in the next few days now that I have no more baking to do till next year :) I need to get my butt in gear for Santa!

So I wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and also a safe one! Best wishes for 2010!!

1 More To Go!

I have one more cake to go!! This has been a crazy busy week. In the last 10 days I have made, 12 cakes, 3 doz cupcakes, and 25 dozen cookies. I dont think I want to even look at another shortbread cookie again for awhile hahah.

Day 7 of 11 Busy days!

So today is my 7th day of being busy before Christmas. I swear I have made a million cookies, and about 6 cakes so far, and I still have 4 days to go and not to mention Friday which is my busiest with 3 cakes and 3 dozen cupcakes, and oh yeah one of those cares is a 3 tier wedding cake.. EKKK I look forward to mid next week, when Im done for a week, maybe try to relax, but probably not seeing how I LOVE to bake! I cant stop! SO BRING IT PEEPS! :)

Also, Meet with Rene Dick, from Scout Design yesterday to go over some great things for my business!

So there's new exciting things to come for Krysti Kakes! in 2010. Im going to ROCK this new year!!

Kelly Roblin asked me to make this fun crazy cake for her Boyfriend Andy's birthday that was today. I had alot of fun making this cake and it turned out pretty great!

Everyone loved it which made me happy :)

Getting Busy!

For the next 2 weeks before Christmas, my blog is going to be FULL with pictures! I am fully booked and them some, with tons of awesome cake orders!! Also have to bake over 12+ doz for my cookies exchange next week!

Determination!

For the last 2 weeks, I've been keeping up with my promise to myself and making it to the gym everyday. Over all I feel healthy and not so tired anymore. I'm already starting to see great results and couldn't be happier! I did get attacked by the machine thou, but just once :) And not to mention all the hot old men that work out there ;) just kidding! But seriously its packed with old men! I sometimes feel like the youngest person there!

I do this everyday but up the cals! :)

1 Year Mark!

This weekend was my 1 year mark for my business! I am so grateful for all the business I've had over my 1 year! I have met some really awesome people, and made some pretty interesting cakes!

I look forward to rocking my 2nd year and making even more amazing cakes! I will be promoting my business more in 2010!! So look for Krysti Kakes Everywhere!

Gossip Tuesday!

So this weekend will be my 1 year anniversary for making cakes! My first year has been a great one for business, meeting new people and trying new ideas! Last year my first cake was Miss Mac's 1st Birthday Ladybug cake, and now I am making her 2nd birthday cake for this weekend!

WORK:

HOME:

-I started to get into Christmas a little and brought out a few things for my daughter. Its her 2nd Xmas and its going to be fun because she now knows what gifts are and there purpose.

PERSONAL:

- Start back at the gym again, this time im NOT going to stop. So far day 2. Wasn't too bad yesterday getting back into it, still burned 400+ cals. But then I ate a truffle from Copper Kettle! Which has the BEST peanut butter and jelly truffles!! There my FAV, if you haven't tired them YOU SHOULD!!

- Also got the new iphone 3gs this past week, and i'm in LOVE! :)

New Moon!

So I finally saw New Moon last night, and I walked out a little disappointed. They left out so much of the book, all the good stories leading up to big events!

But seeing Jacob half naked for most of the movie was SOOOOO worth it!

2nd Girls Princess Birthday!

I made this cake for a good friend of mines little girl Liliya who turned 2 this weekend! She had a princess party! I also was the photographer for the party and will post up some of the sweet pictures I got of all the girls!

Last Thursday I had the pleasure of sitting for my good friend Heidi's mom art studio. 2.5 hours if not moving is REALLY hard!! But I would do it again!

Last week for Halloween, Michael offered to take some pictures of Ava in her halloween costume for me. So we took her down to Macaulay House.

Busy Busy Busy!

Haven't had a chance to blog lately, Been SUPER busy with my childhood friend Robyn's upcoming wedding this weekend and Halloween coming! My favorite holiday of the year!

Im working on a 3 tier wedding cake and a 2 tier girls 1st birthday cake today, So I will blog pictures at the end of the weekend!

Michael Grills Photography

For the last month I've had the pleasure of working with a great photographer from the County.

I first met Michael Grills back in September. He was the photographer for a wedding here in the County and it just so happened that I was also the cake maker for this same wedding. I was really impressed with his work and fell in love with all the pictures he took of my Cake.

So we got talking and he actually enjoyed shooting my work and offered to keep doing it!

He currently has an office in Kelly's Shop downtown Picton and is shooting location sessions, But is looking to expend in the near future with his very own Studio.

This weekend, I was asked to make an Army Jeep for a Friend's boyfriend this weekend. It turned out great, and was a lot of fun to make!
